I've see posts here by people with terrible childhoods. My childhood, at least to about age eight, was almost Edenic. There was no sudden trauma, just things started to gradually happen. The main catalysis was my family moving.

This quote is too accurate I never thought about it before but maybe this is why my life has gone as it has because the Universe etc. feels I had too good a life as a child so now I am paying for it with interests.

My childhood was also amazing hense why I have the quote "Childhood was paradise" or as you said edinic (the same thing though) because it was really paradise on Earth sure I had bad experiences actually a lot but they were very spread out and for the most part was every day fun and exciting not like now where every day is both boring, mundane and I have to suffer from my chronical illnesses, mental illnesses, loneliness along with being tortured by reminiscing about my childhood that I will never experience again.

I remember being suicidal even as early as four years old even though I didn't know about suicide, the concept. As a very sensitive kid, seeing all the suffering around me and my dad physically assaulting my mom very often, I used to tell myself something along the lines of "I wish I didn't exist."
Not to mention we had bouts of poverty and are still lower middle-class.

This sums it up perfectly, having everything and life being perfect makes everything feel worse because, you know just how happy you were and how great life used to be. I'd do anything to go back to worrying about if we'd get homework that day.
