Ordered binchotan charcoal the other day. The briquettes make a metallic-ish sound when I knock them together. Not quite the sound I was expecting but sounds a little similar to two magnets connecting. I hope this means they're legit.

Still haven't got a set date yet but I'm just enjoying the calm this purchase has brought me. More purchases and research to do in due course but this seems like the best method I can get right now. Plus charcoal should be good indefinitely as long as its kept dry.

Well, just take your time. Death is patiently waiting for all of us so, we'd better prepare everything before we feel ready before "leaving".

Will do, I'm exploring every option I can right now. Death waiting patiently on the other side is a very comforting thought.

Since this is my thread and its related I might as well yell into the void here. Moving house tomorrow,, taken all the labels off the box so I can move it without suspicion (hopefully).

Gonna start ordering everything else relatively soon. Even if I never use it I'm just not coping without a method, my own exit sign.

I wish I had a method I could use impulsivly. Gosh, with u had a gun so so bad because I could take the opportunity as soon as my mood shifted. Wanted to die so badly yesterday, between being let down by the crisis team and just generally hating myself. No method available except jumping and that could easily fail.

Anyways, doing better today. I'm intending to sleep through as much of the weekend. Existing is exhausting.

It's meant to have less smoke and heat than regular charcoal but I'll be burning it off for 60-90 minutes outside first so that won't be a problem (hopefully).

have you tried it a little and what do you feel?

I haven't, I don't have a private garden so an unable to even test out burning any outside. All being well I'll be doing a "dummy run" sometime going through most of the plan, depending how things go this week. However I wouldn't bring it inside unless I was actually attempting. Even a few minutes exposure and I'll need hospital treatment. If I monitored my o2 levels I could probably test somewhat safely but I'd still need to see a doctor, that would take a fair bit of explaining/lying.

Sorry I can't be of more help, if you look up carbon monoxide ppm you should find charts that might give you an idea of symptoms. In an ideal ctb you would get to the top or almost top of those charts quickly. In a test I think you'd also experience more of the "unpleasant" symptoms as you're not intending to go unconscious.

I'm not sure, I know you can get fully smokeless but from what I know you'd still want to let it burn elsewhere for a while.

Best wishes!

I see..
If i look at the chart, the more the concentration builds up, the more symptomatic it is right?

Thanks for sharing

Pretty much yeah, hopefully I'll be unconscious from meds or the CO itself quickly.

I don't think a metal bowl would be a great idea. I'm just using a charcoal chimney starter so I'm not using any form of bbq
