I'm not an anime watcher generally, but there are some I've seen and are some of my favorite shows! I've been getting back into a Madoka kick cause there's a new movie coming out soon, I rewatched the main series and Rebellion movie, and then decided to watch the Record show for the first time. It was okay, I don't think it really compared to the main series, but there was one storyline about one character that I've really, really connected with; it's all about isolation and loneliness and finding so much peace in it you trap yourself in it forever. Really adore that character now

That first one really peaks my interest, also it's stunning art!!

Bummer they murked that character, that happens so often,

they give you someone with depth and interest but they're rarely a prioritized storyline.

Nishiki from Yakuza 0 (if I ever get physically fit enough, I'll get a koi carp tattooed on my back).


Virgil from Arcanum I don't really know how to put it into words, but I strongly identify with him. A guy who used to be a pretty questionable person ended up trying to follow a better path.


Edna and Lily — a lot of my real-life conversations feel like Lily's lines from the game.

Ignus from Planescape: Torment. I think I'm very similar to him because I can become insanely devoted to something, only to eventually burn myself out against some random, nameless obstacle and end up wasting away in some miserable place.

This is a very adorable character design! I'm not too familiar with Happy Sugar Life, almost sounds like a title that might be intentionally misleading, like Doki Doki Literature Club

There are a few fictional characters I've identified with over the years, but I can list the ones who resonate with me most:

Kiyoshi, from Hanazuki: Full of Treasures

Mainly because of his notably very pessimistic, anxious, and melancholic personality.

Chihiro Fujisaki, from Danganronpa

Mainly because I'm quite effeminate. Not trans, but I have questioned my gender identity before.

Arthur Fleck, from Joker (2019)

Mainly because I feel like for my whole life, I have always been disregarded and misunderstood by society.

Something random to note is that I kinda have similar hair to all three of these characters combined lol. I have a bit of a weird chin-length bob cut. Definitely stands out a bit.

I don't feel great about this, but the fictional character I always connected with the most was Rorschach from Watchmen.

- He had an abusive and neglectful mother from whom he was eventually removed.

- He was bullied and withdrawn as a child.

- He developed a worldview that served as a mechanism for self-sabotage and destruction.

- He was a quasi-vagrant who relied upon the kindness of a few people who saw any humanity within him.

- He lost his faith in God after spending too much of his life neck deep in misery.

- He was both desolate and relieved as he met his demise.
