I've recently been looking into something called celestis. It's a company that hires spacex to shoot up hundreds of samples of peoples ashes/dna into space, as a kind of funeral. They offer a few trips, sub-orbital, orbital, moon, and deep space. I'm very convinced that I will CTB after this holiday season. Since I was a kid I've always loved space, and I think requesting this in my suicide note could help my family have some closure in seeing their son fufill a dream, even after my life. I am from a wealthy family and have a few sizable inheritances(I do not have unrestricted access), so I think asking for this as part of my funeral would not be out of the question. The orbital flight is only 3-5 thousand dollars, and landing your ashes on the moon costs 10-15 thousand. What do you guys think? Should I allow my family to choose for me instead? I think that being able to look up at the night sky and know that I was/am there would be sweet, but I'm not sure if it could extend my family's suffering. I have written in multiple places that I want all my money to go to my parents and sister, to help them if they need therapy/time off work etc.
