I didn't know he'd referred to it as a very poor substitute. Again, doesn't sound great...

It's a pretty good substitute considering the relative peacefulness and the price...

Are there really no serious side effects if you fail? I mean no long term damage (body organs, a risk of turning into a "vegetable" etc)
