Can't Find Search Function

Hello,

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but, I can't seem to find the search function on this site. The only way I've been searching is via search query of this site's name on google + my own search query.

It makes sense. Is that why I can not add my birth date?

Not enough posts. It's doesn't pop up until you have around over 20 posts, at least that's what I think...

Oh I see. What counts as a post? Do they have to be entire threads such as this one? Or can it count as a reply like my reply to your message?

this is annoying because they tell us to use the search function instead of making a new thread about a question but then we can't use the search function until we've either replied or made new threads

It's odd, yes.

In the mean time, consider using a search engine with the Syntax below.

Google / DuckDuckGo / Bing

site: sanctioned-suicide.net «keywords»​

The search results are arguably better than this forum's built-in search feature. In fact, for example, I search for this thread using the keywords kind person and all search engines returns the thread as the top result. Meanwhile, this forum's built-in search function didn't even list it on the first page.

So in this example, I used this search query for the search engines.

site: sanctioned-suicide.net kind person​

And I was thinking... I don't want to annoy anyone here by asking the same question but I don't have access to search... what should I do?

Look at other people's posts and comment/reply with supportive and empathetic words, thus spreading a little bit of cheer, developing some good karma and getting to the number of contributions that will open up the door to the search function. At least that's what I (another new person) am doing.
