• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

AI. Therapists. So-called Friends. Family. Reddit. Forums.

Not a single person or entity accepts my choice that I don't want to live any longer. Even AI forces me to call the National Suicide Hotline, which is the most useless number to ever exist. It exists to mock the call, mock those who need help, and hang up on/commit those calling.

I want to die. Can't someone just accept that I don't want to live anymore instead of trying to make me enjoy life, which I clearly do not?

They don't have to live your life. They'll never understand.

The only single person that should be accepting that is YOU. Its YOUR life you want to end after all.

People in general just project themselves and their mindset in to others, no one can truly understand your pain other than yourself.

The concept of suicide being always a bad choice is drilled into peoples heads from birth. Culture, people, religion, laws, and even biology says its wrong. In order to overcome the notion you have to have suffered through a lot to be at a point where it can be a good option. Even then, biology still fights back. To many people who don't suffer as we do, its not even something they could lightly flirt with the idea of.

Because of that, they have never experienced the suffering you went through. Their opinion comes from not knowing what you went through. All you can really do is trust in yourself for making such a decision.

I will be one of the assholes and say life is a gift, and you should do absolutely everything in your power to try and experience the gift and all that it has to offer. It's very fun when you can do the things humans were meant to do, such as love people or create things.

However, there is something we like to call a "sanctioned suicide," which is when a person can no longer do those things. They can't enjoy anything. They are in irremediable pain, suffering in poverty and social abuse. There is no way out because nobody cares about these people.

I sometimes feel like I am one of these people but I don't ask others to accept my decision to kill myself, which I haven't technically made in earnest or else I wouldn't be here. I know that people believe there will always be hope. The majority of times, there is.

Suicide is going against the grain of most societies... There is a common belief that life is better than death. Regardless of whether or not you are successful, society often believes that "life can get better" and that things can't get better if you give up.

I'm middle-aged... and that 'life can get better' stuff is just a line of fluff... but I can also understand why society doesn't want people deleting themselves.

Unfortunately you won't ever find that in normal people- but it's not fair to necessarily blame them for that either. The right to a peaceful death is non existent in practically all societies- and is only permitted for those of old age or with very specific circumstances.
People feel this way because they can only view things from their own perspective, and apply their own emotions and rules to what they're hearing. For the VAST majority- even amongst other suicidal people- the natural reaction is to not wish death on someone else. Or wish for them to take their own life.

Unfortunately this is also biologically engrained for a reason, but it doesn't make your perspective any less valid. Nobody can understand the depths of your experiences except you- and the sooner you are able to come to terms with that, the sooner you may have peace.

But this is what I really love about this forum- because it has like-minded individuals that despite having different circumstances- can understand one another and come to the same conclusions without a fight over it. I am a firm believer that you have a right to life, just as much as you have a right to death. I do support you in your choices despite wishing it wasn't this way for you- and I hope that you can find your peace.
Wherever your journey may take you, just know you aren't alone- and even if you don't know the people on her personally, they understand and hear you. ❤️ Much love and best wishes.
