Cannot for the life of me find SN // MAID

Been searching for almost a year and a half now. It's been forever. I don't know what to do anymore, everything is just so overwhelming as of late and I'm ready to go. I want to use SN, it's the best option for me. But not being able to find any has left me with more despair than I could have imagined. I don't want to be here any longer and I'm terrified of not being able to go.

Anyone here from Canada been offered MAID? I've never been diagnosed with anything, I avoid the doctor like the plague. I don't know how difficult this option is to receive, just want some feedback. It seems like a lot of work and doctors visits.... that kind of energy... I don't have it in me. I can barely do anything anymore.

I'm not from Canada but I did a little research on MAID for you. I do not think you'll get access to this method. They state "If your sole underlying medical condition is a mental illness, you are NOT eligible to receive medical assistance in dying." So unless you've got something really wrong with you they will not accept you're case.

Feel ur pain op. They pushed back the re evaluation for MAID and mental illness till next year i believe. I also have barely any energy to be able to go about doing basic things and it sucks

that makes me so upset.. i was hoping they would stick to their initial 40 day wait or whatever the hell it was..

That's from 2021. They updated in 2023. You can get MAID with just mental conditions.

Yeah but you can still apply this year, no? Even with just mental conditions. I could be wrong.

I just saw an article where Canada postponed any considerations for mental illness and MAID til March 2024. I wish they'd consider it in the US.

If you can afford a maid just go for it!
