This is not venting in the traditional sense. I am here to vent my anger even though i don't really feel any anger or anything now of course, I also have a question, logically speaking what can someone in a situation like mine realistically do? For me it's not just about money, and it's not just that I'm facing false charges that will leave me rotting in prison. I was ostracized and cut out of my oldest group of friends simply because I was in debt and hiding it from them. I was subjected to gaslighing and dozens of accusations were thrown at me at once along with charges of being someone trying to sabotage the group, a liar, and a manipulator. They didn't stop there. one of them contacted another group of friends and made the same accusations against me, and of course, the mob believes the other mob, and none stood with me. And here I am today, without any friends. I lost everyone because I was hiding my poverty. You could call it that. As for my girlfriend, she left me today (one day before CTB, and she didn't know) because I also wasn't honest with her about the extent of my debt. Well, I don't blame anyone here. I just wished this would come up after I completed the CTB and that I would be remembered in a good way by those I love But life goes on. If there's a lesson to be learned from my experience, it's this: If you want to ctb for fear that those you love will look at you differently because of something you did,do it quickly otherwise you will take double the regret with you to your grave
As for me, i think my time is tomorrow

Why do your friends care that your in debt its none of their business. I could understand your gf if you guys were dating for a while or had shared fiances. Why were they calling you super manipulative for just being in debt. The pocket watching is crazy

Well the community was totally twitter minded especially that first friend group. overnight a bunch of stuff got stacked against me including my debt. It wasn't even the only accusation but they used it as "proof" that I was hiding my true colors. As for my girlfriend things aren't totally over. She texted me today and literally said, "Right now I want to kill you 10% less than I did three hours ago" But I'm not gonna cling or try to fix what happened. I'm just gonna ctb today anyway because nothing can he fixed financially

You don't and nobody does deserve being driven to desperately searching to stop suffering while the monsters who are looking for a plaything in a vulnerable person's loss of hope can sleep at night with no remorse...

I mean this in the most respectful way possible cus I dont know a polite way to format this. We're these people all online and on discord or something like that. Normal people in real life dont act like this. This sounds like annoying people I used to know during covid in middle school. Unless you were hiding something crazy like being a pdf or rapist this reaction isn't warranted. In hs I knew a friend who was a dick and pressured his bi polar gf to get an abortion then dumped her and bro still had friends. Another kid was 17 dming middleschoolars. In college I knew a bunch of cheaters but no one really cared.

My point is friends usually go out of their way to justify their friends actions. While everything i just listed is really horrible most people make excuses for their friends. The whitch hunt sounds like chronically online people. Are they also teenagers i cant imagine adults caring this much Just tell them that you finances are none of their business. Unless you and your gf were together for a while i also dont think it matters finances and shared accounts etc are something you talk about later in the relationship

Well, I should clarify that I come from a conservative society in the Middle East one that is quick to judge and prone to making assumptions. This is one of the reasons I dislike my environment
The culture of gossiping and interfering in others affairs is considered an integral part of protecting society for the greater good and in my case the revelation that I was in debt and not religious contributed significantly to my cancelation by the people I knew. Essentially the debt I accumulated was due to my constant attempts to leave this society. It's interesting that you mentioned the possibility of all of this happening because I'm a pdf or smth but I'd like to point out that the democratically elected Iraqi government passed a law allowing girls as young as nine to marry. So yes those who did this to me come from the same society. As for my girlfriend we've been dating for a long time and our original plan was to save money together to settle somewhere far away. She didn't know how much debt I had gone into in the last year, so I understand her disappointment when she found out the truth.
