if I have a 99% helium tank and a nose cpap mask, if I attach the tube to the tank and tape my mouth so I won't breath air would it work?

Hello, friend.
I suggest that you check out the resources available on the exit bag method. Surely there are some modifications you could do to make use of the cpap mask in your possession.
One thing I would like to point out is that you will definitely need a regulator and also have a big enough volume of the gas before proceeding with anything.
