Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Can someone walk me through committing suicide with an inert gas like I'm a kid?

For example, I wanted to try using helium but someone told me that I purchased the wrong brand of helium. Can someone guide me through this like I'm a child. Because it's like I'm too nervous to know what to do.
you shouldn't be using helium in the first place as a majority of the helium canisters are not 100% helium and are a blend of gasses - just a small percentage of oxygen in your canister is a recipe for disaster - you should go for argon gas - refer to the peaceful pill handbook there are images and it goes step by step and it is much clearer than a random person commenting the steps

Thanks. I've been reading through the peaceful pill handbook and I got to the part on inert gasses. The site the book recommended me sells the tank for $328 excluding tax. I don't have much money for something like that. Is there a way to get it cheaper elsewhere somehow? Maybe instead of the tank being made of metal, it's made of something cheaper?

The tanks are made of metal. It is what it is, and it costs what it costs. However, nitrogen is cheaper than helium, so I'm not sure why you want to use the more expensive gas. You can decide not to CTB, you can find a cheaper method, or you can wait until you have enough $$$ to buy the tank & the other necessary equipment.
I feel like the exit bag & inert gas megathread DOES walk you through it. I recommend reading it first and then if you have specific questions, you can always ask once you have a basic understanding of it.
I don't know if this is against the rules or not, but anyone familiar with torrents (like a lot of people use to get music) will find one zip file with all kinds of videos, books, and photos in it if they simply search for "Final Exit" on the most well known torrent/magnet sites. They aren't the latest editions but there's an exit bag video in there that shows how simple it is. The only thing that's changed since it was made is that you're probably better off using Nitrogen these days, and that requires an inexpensive regulator where Helium didn't.

This is a misconception.
Balloon helium isn't pure enough anymore to CTB, but pure helium is still sold where other inert gases are sold.
Argon is the absolute worst choice of inert gas that there is. I've chatted with three members here who attempted with it and they all hated it and refused to try with it again. I've never heard such negative things about nitrogen or helium. I can't imagine why anyone would recommend it.

You can get an empty 40 cu ft tank from Amazon for around $120 and have it filled for around $40 at a local welding supply shop. You'll need to attach a regulator/flow meter to the tank. Olsen makes inexpensive ones that can be purchased at Harbor Freight for about $75, and you can find the same one for less than $40 if you do some quick searching.

In the 2006 video that's available via torrent, he doesn't use a regulator at all because the "party time" helium tanks weren't highly pressurized. You could get a "close enough" flow rate just by tweaking the valve. That isn't the case with an industrial nitrogen tank AFAIK. You need the regulator/flowmeter or the bag would just blow off of your head. I'm not disputing the fact that helium is a bad idea these days. They contain too much Oxygen unless you get it from a welding shop, in which case you might as well get Nitrogen because its much less expensive.

Sure. I have no problem with using nitrogen, but the site from the handbook doesn't sell Nitrogen. I guess I'll check out the megathread and see if they've posted anything on where to get some of the other inert gasses.

By the way, how do you find these mega threads on here exactly. I'm still very new to the site and I've only been a member for about a week or so.

The megathread explicitly states the two types of businesses where they are sold. Google should provide the same answers. You wouldn't be buying from the site in the handbook, you'd be buying from whatever supplier is geographically closest to you.

That video is 20 years old, and therefore obsolete. But no, it's not that cheap, that's not sound advice. Yes, that's exactly what I just explained in my other comment (but not to you) that pure gasses can all be found in the same places, but that nitrogen is the cheaper option.

Lmaoooooooo . I bought that exact tank. I brought it to get it filled & they asked if I had bought it legally & said they couldn't do anything thing with it. Oh well. Lesson learned. But what I'm really trying to understand is why you're directing this bad advice at me, instead of OP. I have my entire nitrogen setup, I bought it months ago; it's complete & ready to go whenever I am. I never indicated in any part of what I wrote that I needed guidance.

What reason did they give for "not being able to do anything with it"? It's DOT approved with the correct fitting. No one has ever gotten into the business of selling empty Nitrogen tanks "illegally". ROTFLMAO

This is a little worrisome (since I put my money on a 5L Argon cylinder :-(). I wonder if it has to do with Argon per se, or if there may have been other reasons? There are only a few differences with Nitrogen. Argon is also odorless, tasteless, colorless, and it's even slightly more soluble than nitrogen. It's more dense than nitrogen.

It does, it provides every single detail that's needed. TiredHorse did a great job. I do not know if he is still around, but if he is.. or even if he isn't, for that matter, I owe him a debt of gratitude.

I remember that one of them said they had issues filling the bag… yes, it's heavier than air whereas nitrogen is slightly lighter. Idk what to tell you, run a test or two before you attempt with it.
