can an adult refuse a trip to a psychward in europe ?

i live in france, and i wondered if i could be forced into a mental hospital/psychiatric unit even if i'm over 18. i was forced into a quick ER visit when i was 16, which made sense because i was a minor.. but now that i'm an adult, i wonder if i'm legally allowed and able to refuse.
i read that an adult can refuse treatment, except when it came to psychiatry.. because they wouldn't be ''lucid'' enough to know what is good for them, or whatever that means. i also read that i could be thrown into a hospital by demand (ie : my legal guardians, doctors..).
i'm not planning on telling my psychiatrist about this, but in case of she caught onto something i wanted to know if i would be able to refuse. any loophole i could find to maybe get away from any hospital/treatment ? in regards to treatments, i've tried before and it has done nothing, so i don't want to bother.
also, how is it in other countries ? are adults allowed to refuse psychiatric treatements ?

I don't know about French law, but in Poland they can put you there if you are considered dangerous to others or yourself - if your psychiatrist determines you are actively trying to CTB, and have means to you'll most likely end up there

In most countries psych wards are already overloaded with applications so unless you really lay it on thick that you are trying to kill yourself odds would be low that somebody's gonna send you someplace.

There is voluntary and involuntary stay. For involuntary they need to get court order to put you in or hold you after. Danger to others is definitely valid reason. Danger to yourself probably too. But I think it has to be something more obvious. Don't ever threaten people or threaten saying you will kill yourself or selfharm because I think that is valid cause. I was put in because I threatened to kill someone and my dad went to police. Being in psychosis or not lucid is also a reason probably. Needing emergency drug treatment intervention probably too. For minor stuff you can definitely refuse. They can't just put you in there, there are laws. When I was in there (European country), there was patient protection advocate that was independant and would visit everyone or you could request to talk too at any time. You need to look up laws in your specific country when it comes to commiting people although I don't think it's much different in European countries.
