People, beware. In my country, when regular, all purpose forums were a new thing, back in early 2000's, there was a woman who posted there for months, on many sub forums. She wrote about her life, her husband, children, health problems etc. She claimed she was diagnosed with cancer, wrote about chemo etc. and one day her husband came to the forum and wrote that she died. Some people were devastated, but some were skeptical. They went through her old posts and spotted inconsistencies in her stories. They prodded the "husband", and in the end, that person told them that he is a sociology student writing a thesis and that the whole story was made up. This lasted for months. I am not claiming with 100% certainty that a similar type of con is happening here, but we need to keep in mind that this is the internet and anybody can claim that they are whatever they want to claim. Don't be gullible.

I think a few members here, definitely at the moment, have 'bullshit detectors' at the ready!!!! for any cases like this.

I also see that others are susceptible to these things. which is the bigger problem.
