Story Buying "the" shotgun as a gun owner already

After work today, I am going to the sporting goods store to grab my girlfriends birthday present (I feel a tad guilty, it's a 22lr rifle, as I have gotten her into the hobby of shooting..) and to put in paperwork for a single shot shotgun. I own a pump action 12 gauge and a double barrel 12 gauge shotgun, but I am a lover of Shakespeare so the dramatics of picking out a specific gun for the act itself is appealing to me. The pump action and double barrel shotguns also are harder to fit in the mouth (Haha) because the extended tube on the pump and the two barrels of the double. The cheap single shot shotgun is just one barrel I can put in the roof of my mouth with ease, and I will admit I have a little inspiration from Dead of Mayhem fame. He used the same shotgun as the one I am planning on buying.

It's a no name turkish single shot shotgun, identical to the one on the cover of Mayhem's "dawn of the black hearts", they sell these by the boatload anywhere. I'm not sure if on slugs or buckshot yet. I didn't end up buying it because my card was being weird.

Plus the shop guy definitely knew something was up with me. I was positioning the gun (barrel down) to see how it matched up with my height.

I was going to say to not cause any suspicion, try to act upbeat, maybe make a fake phone call and discuss upcoming plans and a vacation in front of the shopkeeper.
