Buying shotgun on my payday. I think

Did some looking into and all in all, background check, and firearm and ammunition shouldn't cost me more than 350. I average a little more than that right now per week.

It feels a little weird. Knowing that tomorrow I can have enough change in my pocket to end my life before I even know it. It's almost too easy. I'm scared to commit to it because once I own the shotgun It'll feel too real and my survival instinct will kick in. I don't know. I'm just constantly making excuses for myself no matter what I do. At the very least I could commit to this. I probably won't do it this weekend. Maybe the next. Maybe the comfort of having a ready to go escape will prevent me in the first place because the comfort is there. That's all I desire. Im scared to die. I just wanna feel comfortable. But maybe that enteral comfort comes in death only. I don't know anymore.

Yeah, that's a big step. And you're right in that it could provide "peace of mind" to you knowing you have a way out should life become absolutely unbearable to you. Who knows, you may never need to use it. I think having a method available works that way for a lot of people.

What kind of shotgun? 12 gauge? I think I paid even less for mine, but that was a lot of years ago, and I didn't buy it for ctb, just home defense. I think I paid $250.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's a scary big step just like any. The scariest part about it I guess is accepting the fact that I've given up. I'm hoping the availability will help me cope.

I'm gonna be stopping at the local gun shop t ask what his most affordable model 12 ga is, if it's in my price range I'll set up the process. Side of the head for sure. It's been my chosen method for a while now and I've spent that time meticulously removing any room for failure. I'm just waiting for the pin to dropped and it dropped. Know what I mean?

If I were going to go the shotgun route, the only way I'd do it is by placing the barrel into my mouth and completely blowing out the back of my head. I'd never risk shooting myself in the side of the head.

How are you going to miss a brain stem with a shotgun blast in the mouth? Holding a shotgun on the outside of the head will allow for "flinching" while squeezing the trigger, while placement of the barrel into the mouth steadies the gun. Someone sitting down, placing the barrel of the gun into their mouth, placing the stock onto the floor, and then squeezing the trigger, stands the best shot (no pun intended) at successfully killing themselves. It's just a more "solid" way to do it. And by sitting and placing the stock on the floor, it's much easier to reach the trigger without stretching, thereby reducing the stress in the arm, which *could* cause shaking and/or flinching. And this way pretty much automatically sets the proper angle. If this method was my choice, that's how I would do it. To each their own, though.

When we die we will look weird regardless so the blood doesn't bother me I'll do it in the forest too just to keep my room clean..

Would 00 buckshot penetrate the skull from the side of the head?

That is holding the the shotgun on the side of your head would 00 buckshot 12 gauge penetrate my skull and destroy my brain?

Just make sure you aim it right. People have managed to survive shotguns, and it is not fun to do so.

I thought you were supposed to aim at roof of your mouth. Isn't that the best way to ensure you're hitting the brainstem?

Also sorry for my ignorance, but aren't shotguns the long ones? How would you be able to reach far enough to aim at the side of your head?

People die all the time from a head shot not hitting the brain stem. Suicide, murder, accident, combat in war, etc.

Well that sounds like a recipe for disaster. You mess up with nasty salty SN by most accounts you end up fine or with minimal damage to yourself. There are threads on this. Mess up with a gun and you are missing your face and maybe a good portion of your brain but still alive and helpless. Gun is number one in fatalities for suicide but like with all methods you have to be prepared and know what you are doing. To each their own but plan and choose wisely.

I've owned the same pistol since 1997. It's easy access in my night stand ready and waiting. I'm 50 now, depressed, anxiety, in treatment for cancer. It's only a matter of time.

My point is when your really ready. You have the means.

Me personally I have a daughter I don't want to traumatize with me ctb.

But, when your ready you will know.

I found some threads where some who took SN ended up with severe kidney/bladder/heart issues and terrible tinnitus and this was from very small amounts..if you take the AEs, they can also cause akathisia that can be permanent. If you have stomach issues, it would likely be like pouring acid on a wound. I got a tiny amount on my skin, like 1 crystal, and ended up with a small burn. I don't think SN is anything to mess around with.

Exactly and I never used or even owned one… I went to the gun shop and left empty hands because I didn't know what to get since I have no knowledge
