Hey SS family, anyone else here with BPD?

My mood has been really up and down today, extremes from wanting to cross the bridge, to feeling happy and extatic ... It's actually draining ...

My quetiapine dosage was increased from 50mg to 100mg last month, I don't know whether it needs to be increased further... My doctor did recommend increasing it to 350mg to see if it helps as that's the dosage people with bipolar start on, just in case I've also got bipolar and haven't been diagnosed , I was against it at first but now thinking maybe I should go for it ?

Sorry to rant ... If anyone has any advice please help 🙏🏾

I am undiagnosed but I take lamithrigin (mood stablizers) I also take anti psychotic meds before sleep. You can buy lithium orotate supplements, they are over the counter. 20 mg everyday helped a bit.

Quiet BPD here. I'm not on meds currently. Did they help you at all?

i've been on lithium for a little over a year now which seems to help somewhat and tried latuda with it but stopped, currently taking 200 zoloft with the lithium 900 and tbh i think lithium's been the only med that's somewhat helped.

Yes I have bpd not on any meds. I smoke weed but it doesn't help bpd. I just do it because sometimes it helps for a little bit. It increases suicidal ideation but I still do it even tho I know this.

Quetiapine is a relative safe medicine, so if you want to try a larger dosage, especially in the case of BPD, I think it's worth a shot. The people with BPD that I know of who took it did not see an effect until they tried around 250-350 mg. Everyone is different thought regardless of same diagnosises so what works for others might not work for you. But you should be fine trying that.
