Just wondering why? Totally understandable for not liking it. I tried playing Yummy Nikki but I got stuck and didn't know what to do

I never played Omori, it's always just seemed too close to Yume Nikki for comfort.
Yume Nikki's more of a walking simulator. You walk around and collect effects. You could use a walkthrough to find effects and events if you want.

Understandable for not trying a game that you feel like is too similar, don't want to get bored of playing too similar games. I would say Omori is different enough (RPG battle system, different ways of conveying story and structure, more linear). There is one section that is purely inspired from Yumme Nikki but it's more linear.

I don't like using a walkthrough cus I want to figure things out on my own so I got lost in Yumme Nikki. I don't blame the game, I probably just stupid.

Oh, I was just passing by, but I also like Yume Nikki. I love how there's no specific destination.

And I agree with what Namelesa said! Combat is pretty important in Omori. The story resonates with me a lot as well...

I get that, tho getting lost is sorta the point lmao. It's just about exploring. Also, the character (Madotsuki) has some clues as to her life (not gonna spoil it, not that there's much to spoil) but is still ambiguous enough that she can be whatever you want her to be, so I prefer Madotsuki.

I will definitely give the game another go if I am alive I just felt like I wasn't making any progress and kept going in circles and wasn't able to a map in my head as to where I haven't and have been.

Edit also 403

With some maps you can notice subtle differences to use as landmarks to find your way around.
