-2 (the goalposts in OP were 0 and 1000, I think two separate counters from 0->500 might be a good idea though, one for the boys and one for the girls, whomever hits 500 first wins)

I guess that could work but I feel like that would be harder to track and I didn't think of this idea at the time. I'll think about it though I can't change the game on this thread now as I already made the thread. If you think that it's a good enough idea to make a new forum game out of it, feel free to make a new thread about it

Yeah, the score resets to 500. It felt strange when I woke up to see negative numbers. Also, congrats to those who won!!
