932 Well, that is more about human behavior rather than science, actually. What is so hard about "not stealing" when you're a smart scientist?

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

It is really poor behaviour from someone in the scientific community that just wants me to design stuff for free. That's bad scientific practice though, isn't it?

I think that scientific talking is more about the language barrier than anything

Totally agree, it's just being an elitist which makes it detrimental to your field of knowledge but... A lot of people want to brag and feel superior.A lot of scientists struggle to communicate their science to people that are not at the same level of education as they are. Sometimes it it snobbishness or dick-measuring.
I find people that are passionate about their science can use that passion to help anyone understand their science. Likewise with artists, some are deliberately obscure and look down on anyone that is not "artistic" but most I have talked to are really happy to talk about their art and what it means to them.
Sorry, my keyboard and SaSu interact very badly. I suppose they wanted to emphasize how much dick-measuringing it is.A lot of scientists struggle to communicate their science to people that are not at the same level of education as they are. Exaclty! There's often an easier metaphor which can be used to desribe it to lay-people even.I find people that are passionate about their science can use that passion to help anyone understand their science. It could also be because they don't master their fields quite as much as they believe they do?A lot of scientists struggle to communicate their science to people that are not at the same level of education as they are. Sometimes it it snobbishness or dick-measuring.
