yeah i don't think whoever did the change right when they delayed permission for chat and conversation. you can see and fail to use them before you can actually use them. which is a pretty big fail.

the Conversation might work for you though, i remember Chemi being able to use that before the Chat

The conversation feature seems to work, yep. It still sucks not to be able to PM though, because I've PMed someone and they must've thought I ghosted them.
