yeah @comababy_ seeing as most people who join type up quite a storm about this or that ("how do i get SN?", "will ____ kill me?", "does anybody else ____??") especially in their early days, it's interesting any time i see an account that has both few posts and is rather vintage.

my main curiosity is: what do you do here? if you lurked for three years but still didn't post, why make an account?

I can see where the curiosity comes from, I think i'm just very accustomed to lurking and observing, as edgy as it sounds. Mostly I've just spent the years checking out the forums, it doesn't take a lot of searching to find answers to the common questions that might spring up.

I'm not entirely sure what actually made me start posting/communicating on here after all this time, I suppose it was just impulse.

i feel like it's fairly random. the site probably does have predictable peak traffic times from actual users and human lurkers; whether this adds to malicious bot impact i'm not sure.
i think the chug is often to throttle the bots; recently there were nearly 30,000 "guests" on the site. right now there are <700
