it's been here nearly eight years, through multiple exposés; it probably isn't going anywhere soon. take the time.
it can be pretty harrowing, there are basically multiple overlapping subcommunities on here (the games crew(s), the fervent researchers, the 'profile posts' crew, the chatroom people [you can't use that yet], antinatalists to full-on promortalists), but the underlying reason is similar for why we are here.
i say similar partly as there are a lot more obviously acutely distressed young people simply seeking support or companionship than there once was (vs. long term suicidals from inescapable situations). so, there's a much larger 'feels' vibe than there used to be, and some of the hypocritical old fucks who have yet to off themselves will complain about it sometimes.

tl;dr take what you need and give what you can when it comes to the forum imo
