Discussion Book suggestions

I'm open to anything, I just need more stuff to read.
I recently read The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt, was really interesting, I liked it. Now I'm reading Veronika decides to die by Coelho. Lots of people apparently hated this book, but idk, so far I like it, but I'm not finished yet. After that I'll prob read Nuclear War: A Scenario by Annie Jacobsen (actually got recommended to me by someone on this forum). But yeah, any recommendations are appreciated

Harassment Architecture - very much a book you will either love or hate, no in-between. Have not read the sequel Gothic Violence but I hear it is good. There's an audiobook for both on YouTube. Like Harassment Architecture says at the beginning, don't expect a coherent narrative.

First Law series by Joe Abercombie.

Ms. Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children (The movie sucks, but the book series is a lot better, trust me)

I actually didn't hate the movie, but that's probably because I don't know the book, might check it out tho, because I did find the whole universe very intriguing. Thx for the recs and the pdf (I have no idea what it is, but doesn't hurt to check it out)

Basic rulebook for GURPS, which is short for Generic Universal RolePlaying System, which is a TTRPG system.

There is over 200 books for GURPS.

I don't know how you feel about the LGBT community. If you view it positively, then you should like this book. I read it three years ago; there is also a sequel, *Find Me*. I would describe the book like this: SUMMER, PEACHES, LOVE. There is also a wonderful film adaptation

i reccomend the discworld books, they do technically have an order but you can read them in any order and it still makes sense. my favorite one is hogfather.

A personal favorite, The Demolished Man by Alfred Bester. It's basically about a man trying to commit the perfect crime in a world full of telepathic detectives, with major themes of Freudian psychiatry and proto-cyberpunk elements that pre-date the actual genre by nearly 30 years.

Play-by-forum GURPS campaign incoming? One of the few major systems I have no familiarity with.

Unfortunately, I really am not fond of Play-By-Post, or Play-By-Forum in this case.

Thanks for the PDFs. I don't care for play-by-forum either, though I did once play in an excellent Vampire: the Masquerade campaign 20 years ago on the OG Planet Vampire forums.

I don't know how you feel about "gothic" horror but I'd recommend "Blackwater" by Michael Mcdowell. I've also recently read "Katie" by the same author
