Venting Boars and people

Living in a european country, it's every forest has either people, wolves, bears or boars. Ive never been attacked by a boar, but there are videos, i dont want that before i ctb. Why cant i just disappear in peace

I mean, the western united states has mountain lions and every once in a while you see a news report of a hiker getting mauled, but I'm pretty sure you could spend a long time going out hiking with a steak tied around your neck without getting attacked.

Female bears get aggressive when they think their cubs may be in danger, so if you see bear cubs, get away asap

If you knew Bundy or Dahmer liked to frequent a particular large forest park, where 1,000's of hikers go… you know the odds are technically in your favour statistically, because you're just one person out of many 1,000's. But it still doesn't make sense to risk it, and it would be hard to be relaxed and enjoy the scenery knowing you could be brutally murdered.

Predatory animals are just the psychopaths of the wilderness… if you look weak or frail they may target you. Even if you look distracted with headphones on, that can make you a target. Or it can just be random if you spook them.
