Hello everyone, I am new here. I want to pay A using bitcoin as to avoid having to give my ID to Western Union, however all of the apps like Coinbase require your name, address, and last 4 of ssn to even sign up. This defeats the purpose of using this type of payment if it can be tied back to me anyways. I read somewhere else that you shouldn't ever have you give your social and not to use intermediaries, but being technologically challenged I'm really at a loss. Does anyone with experience in bitcoin wallets have any suggestions as to another way to (somewhat easily) do this? I am wanting to place my order with A asap and appreciate any help! <3

A great place to buy bitcoins from is localbitcoins.com because you can buy anonymously and with cash, if you want, but there's other payment options too. They provide you with an online wallet as well.

I setup another wallet with blockchain.com and transferred here before paying, for stealth reasons. It all worked great for me.

It's pretty confusing stuff. Good luck with it.

OK i'm in the buying phase right now, can anyone advise if I should buy the exact amount of BTC that A asked for or do I need to buy a little more? Not sure what kind of fees there might be to transfer from my wallet into his.

I don't know how to estimate the fee, but beyond the fees for the purchase of bitcoins, there is a small network fee to transfer the wallet from yours to his. The actual fee varies based upon when you want to send (e.g., how loaded the network is at the time you send) and how much you're willing to pay per KB for the processing (the higher you're willing to pay, the higher the priority your transaction is for the blockchain calculations). So you need to buy a little over. If I'm reading this chart correctly (but not sure if I am), it shows under 7 USD:

My sending fees was about $2 but loading fees was about $80

The scary part is I feel nothing is safe or really anonymous anymore. That is why all this buying anything online for less than usual purposes scares me. It is a a risk we take

i have been verified on blockchain.
I would like to buy 2 bottles at $550
I'm in Europe so the private courier is another $100
Can anyone give a rough estimate as to what the charges for purchasing Bitcoin and sending to A will be on top of the product price and postage.
Also I'm in the UK so when I know how much I need to pay in US dollars do I select buy Bitcoin using US dollars or British pound sterling. Obviously the money in my bank account is British pound sterling.

Please help me and if you'd rather please private message me. I thought I'd got the hang of this Bitcoin but I'm not so sure now!

It's hard to stay anonymous sending bitcoin. So if that is your priority just stay away of it.
If your coins are inside web or any kind of online wallet...and you didn't knew what you were doing...too late sorry.
But If you got them offline:
1. using web services - IP address is your last problem, VPN's collect and provide data from the idiots who use them, using Tor without any experience is also not a good idea. Next your PC gets fingerprinted with javascript and cookies/IP's are a joke compared to this. All such web wallets require javascript to run/can't turn it off sorry/. Using chrome will mean total anonymity destruction (too long to explain, but reinstalling doesn't help). And many more...like no matter what you are doing chrome will record and send later any wifi/bluetooth-device near your laptop any time it was ON. So be careful where you turn on yours.
2.Using phone apps - don't ever even think about it. You get all of the google/chrome tracking even without chrome and much much more worse nightmares than this.
3.Using btccore also requires some caution and lots of patience.
Final: Unless you buy a new laptop and you know how to get and treat it like a "nuclear weapon"... just don try...(only if your btc is really hot of course).

I know i'm paranoid sometimes. if it's too much for any of you, than it probably is.
