My logic is that if I had an accident perhaps the people around me would feel less guilty and the grief would last less? Maybe the cons is that I can't leave a note though... Opinions?

The problem is that it's incredibly difficult to make suicide look like an accident. I mean if someone is planning to ctb by drowning then maybe this can be done, but I just think that it's best not to really. Ctb is hard enough without this, and anyway it isn't like it could ever matter to us what our death is viewed as, as we won't be there at that point.

I think it greatly depends on the method and most can't be disguised as accidents. I'm partial to SWB. I think it lends itself very well.
The note, of course would be out of the question, but in my case there is no one I really want to leave it to, so that's not a problem.

I agree with what the others have said already, I think it's incredibily difficult to make your suicide look like an accident. The best methods I can think of that would achieve this are drowning, death by cop and jumping into traffic. HOWEVER, I don't advise jumping into traffic or death by cop, as it involves bringing other people, or "innocent bystanders" (for lack of better words) into your death which is something I don't particularly agree with. That leaves drowning as the best option, but even then, your own SI will most likely betray you, and it may be difficult to pull off if you're unprepared.

Eitherway people will still feel guilt, feel grief no matter what it looks like you did.
Staging a suicide is very hard, could force you to have to die in a slow painful way to make it seem convincing such as drowning like someone said above.
And if you end up doing that, people would feel guilt for not being able to save you from drowning.
There is no way you can make someone feel better about your death, no matter what it will cause pain to the people around you, but they will recover.
Don't let guilt hold you back from making your own decisions, the way you want to leave the earth is up to you and you shouldn't torture yourself for other people.
Do not make any impulsive decisions, stay safe please <3

I get this from a financial stand point because I get this as I have life insurance that pays out for accidental death. However, unless you have a credible (family backed) religious exemption an autopsy/investigation will most likely occur as your family will want to know what happened to you. This will probably conclude in suicide. Best to just go out your own way knowing that people will know what you did.

Unless you can hire someone to off you… but this is almost nearly impossible IRL and will leave a paper trail.

Best of luck
