  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at admin@sanctioned-suicide.net.

There is a specific person that I want to be with when I ctb. Ideally they won't know until it's too late. I'm not scared of dying I just know I won't like the feeling of the initial effects of SN and those sensations are the things I'm most scared of since they're already triggers. The things I've read vary so much in terms of how long after ingestion it would take. To make it easy, let's say I plan to meet up with this person at 1pm and be with them until 3pm. What time would I take the SN to aim for it to take effect by 1:30 or 2pm?

This seems like a very cruel thing to do to someone. Plus it makes it's almost certain to fail, because you know, phones are a thing. Why do you even want to do this?

Same here. All i want is to die peacefully in the arms of the only person ive ever loved. Make myself a part of him forever and leave behind my own life. But i know hed call an ambulance especially if i took the pills beforehand so that makes it impossible. Its really the only way i want to die and i cant imagine it any other way, i dont want to die alone even if i deserve it, but idk what to do, i cant hurt or traumatize him at all. In my head when i imagine it it would be peaceful and accepting.

It's not about doing something to them. It's about doing something for me. Is it anymore selfish that any other method than affects other people? Like jumping in from of a train? That also traumatizes people.

With sn you can pass out quickly but if you're rescued right away you'll fail, you need to be on your own, at least physically.
The only way i can see for you would be to be on call with that person maybe late at night and tell them you want to chat even though you 'might' fall asleep on them so when you stop answering they're just going to think you're sleeping and they'll just hang up. It's still a bit risky if you throw up or make weird noises unconsciously but at least you're in touch with them till the end.

I would say jumping in front of a train is about on par with your plan, maybe moreso because you know the person. I did however say it was cruel, not selfish, but I guess you can add that to the list if you want. I don't have anything to offer in terms of advice, clearly. Sorry for wasting your time, carry on.

That sounds like a really unethical idea to force someone to watch your death. In addition, there's various reports of being revived from SN with the antidote. If your friend calls the EMTs you'll end up being revived.
