Barrel Length

So my newest credit card just arrived in the mail today, so I went out and purchased a 12G shotgun with #00 shots… the issue I am running into, however, is the barrel is 28 inches.. and to be frank, I have short arms and I can barely reach the trigger with the barrel in my mouth.

In this instance, would it be best to jerryrig somthing to push the trigger in when it comes time to CTB? Or shorten the barrel. Either way, I will make it happen.

Shortening the barrel will increase the spread which should only aid the lethality. A metal saw should do the trick.

Cool that's what I was kinda hoping for.. thank you. say I cut it right in the middle, or even shorter, it won't fuck anything up right? I don't want to survive a shotgun ctb attempt because I shortened the barrel with a saw.. Just more spread because of a shorter barrel aka more chances of fatality, right?

I'd say cut it a couple of inches so that you're comfortable reaching the trigger. Shorter barrel does increase the spread of the pellets, however in this case you will be shooting at point blank so it shouldn't matter. The most important thing in this method is weapon positioning. You have chances of surviving the attempt if you fail to shoot at an angle, aiming at brain stem. People who botched this technique usually aimed vertically shooting off their face in effect.

That should probably be it. I recommend that you read a chapter 22 on gunshot wounds from Suicide and Attempted Suicide by Geo Stone. It describes the method pretty well and reviews the lethality and survival rates.

You're welcome. Just bear in mind that the firearm may now be illegal due to a shortened barrel.
