I heard baking soda is lethal. Is consuming baking soda mixed with water a reliable method? If so, what amount of baking soda is lethal for an adult?

The LD50 of NaHCO3 (Sodium Bicarbonate) is 4.2grams/kg in rats. Assuming this is the same in humans and you weigh 70kg, this means ingesting 300 grams of the stuff has a 50% of killing you. I don't know how feasible it is to eat half a pound of baking soda while managing to keep it down. And that still only has a 50% chance to kill you. Even then, can you even metabolize the soda fast enough for it to be deadly? I say this is a non-method.
