Death never turned on me

I saw something recently that just rubbed me the wrong way entirely and had to get it off my chest since my days are numbered.
Before finding this group, I had always dealt with the insanity of pro lifers (I used to be a reproductive health activist and have changed sexist legal policies, and helped people find doctors willing to sterilize them) and so I'd always been familiar with how crazy and delusional they were up close… however, when the time came that I was immensely suicidal and wanted to take my own life, I had zero idea there were pro lifers who tried to act like "heroes" when it comes to suicidal people. I'd thought I'd seen it all until there was a pro life group that formed at my college recently to discuss suicide and being pro life, as we have had quite a few students commit at my college so I guess this gave these idiots their "time to shine"…
I just remember becoming extremely nauseated with their whole presentation of the matter. It all centered around how they wanted to "save" someone from "murdering themselves" and how they wanted to be known for bringing "hope" back into someone's heart… the entire discussion just centered around themselves and how heroic they are and in the same breath, insulting suicidal people by saying they are just "misguided and sinful", and need a "strong stable person" to come into their life and guide them.
I'm thinking to myself as I watch their speech how narcissistic they are. As a suicidal person, I can't say I'd be comfortable having someone "help" me if their "help" was blasted publicly on media platforms and they expected rewards for it… it felt so far from genuine and to make matters worse, the students who did take their life were used in their speech, and they said they would've been able to "save and love them" had they known they weren't doing well and living "a life of sin".
It took everything in my power not to interrupt them (I'm a VERY blunt person) and express my disgust with this. I witnessed a new side to the pro life movement that I was never aware even existed because I'd always dealt with pro lifers on the reproductive side of things when I did do a lot of activism in and out of healthcare, so to see this? This just left such a sour taste in my mouth…. Suicidal people aren't little trophies you get to fling around for saving; I also think to say suicidal people are just living a life of sin is insulting to the people who don't want to live… like there's many reasons someone wants to die and it's not always because they themselves lived a bad life but moreso, what others have done TO them that has made life unbearable, so it's pretty ignorant to generalize all suicidal people, as if we all want to die because WE live such a bad life and WE are all wanting to die because of our sin…. Ive talked to some people on this forum who are very rich, have a happy day to day regimen, etc and they STILL want to die because of components OUTSIDE of the happiness they created that are affecting them enough to leave the happiness they DO have behind.
Sorry, I just had to let that out of my chest because it disgusted me to a point I have never been to before… I have never seen someone virtue signal so hard, make someone's suicide about themselves and their ego SO hard…. It kind of just made me feel more confident about dying this summer because it disgusts me to see humans trying to use someone's suicide to paint themselves as a great person lol.
There's too many selfish people on this planet
