Discussion Are you going to have a funeral or no?

For me it's my worst nightmare for me to have a funeral, I want my body to be disposed of quickly and out of reach of those who hurt me.

In my case I will be cremated then my ashes flushed down the toilet, so no one can find me.

I want no memorial or funeral of any kidn, I won't have those who hurt me lie about me or use my death to portray them as the hero's or get others to sympathise with them.

And no resting place either, I don't want people to have their hands over my grave or a scattering place, coming to where I am. Trying to keep me as a part of them.

Cremation is not common here so I think a funeral will be held. I don't really care much about what happens with my body after I die

so if you are cremated you dont have a funeral? here in Spain you can choose that before you die or at any given moment. A funeral seems a nightmare to me as well... If we are able to watch our funerals it must be like the last nightmare from our lifes... I only have relationship with my mother but she knows so many people, I bet the church will be full of people... Pathetical and horrible..................

Even if I were to write a note and say not to hold a funeral, my family is filled with dumbasses so they will still throw one so they can get some sympathy cries (attention) for my death. They never listen to me while I'm alive, so I doubt they'll listen to me when I finally croak.

Ehh, I'd Prefer to be cremated. ( Probably will because I'm going with a 12ga to my dome) Regardless, I live in a fairly small town with Numerous family / friends so I already Know a funeral would be held.

I don't want a funeral, but I'm an organ donor so not sure how that will work. I want to share with you the impact of people who don't have funerals leave behind. You probably don't care but it may bring you some peace. My mother passed and months prior I completely disowned her. Even when I knew she was days away from death, I wanted no parts. Fast forward and I now understand her situation as I feel awful. She have her body to science, no memorial, no nothing. I have no place to go to visit her and talk to her, it's awful. My sister died in another state and her death is unclear. Again, I have no place to go visit her. Whether you believe it or not, someone loves you and will miss you. I definitely understand what you're saying and totally agree with your decision. After your death, there will be questions and once they truly understand your story, the guilt will be overwhelming and they will want to come see you. There will never be closure for them.

As for what happens to my body afterwards. I was already pressured into agreeing to something that I don't want. So I guess that's that on that front.

I personally want for there to be nothing left of me after I die. I'd like to have my body completely torn to shreds and eaten by wild animals, and if that's not possible then I'd probably like to be cremated.
