• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Like, on the outside they seem totally fine. To friends or family, it looks like just living a normal life.

Because of that i've never once in my life really told anyone how i feel or what i'm going through
What i'm dealing with right now would just get treated as "my own problem" anyway, and it's not like it would be solved
I'm glad i found this place
Starting tomorrow, i'll have to face the things that have been haunting me again. I hope i can succeed today

I keep it to myself. Ctb specifically. Dont need someone preaching to me about "tomorrow is another day" , "selfishness ' , or any of that crap.

I do, but I can't keep the mask together anymore.

Everyday it keeps cracking more and more and idk when I would break down again.

I believe that there are always things that people can do to help others and make life easier for them, but instead they choose to blame and turn a blind eye to people who are struggling and focus on those with blessed lives, who they think will benefit them. I think that is human nature and the society we live in. At least that is the people who I know. So Ive learnt to keep it to myself.

Most people pretend to live a normal life; for better or worse, they're all part of a system. The social masquerade isn't unique to suicidal people.

Someone once said people are only normal until you get to know them. I think most people do a certain amount of covering up. Even what we call manners are a way of pretending in a way.

For the most people I interact with, I pretend that I'm a regular person with regular goals, like studying in order to get a job. I fake interest in being a part of society (the bare minimum for not being seen as a weirdo or someone with problems). Only the close friends and my parents know the truth.

This was the case for me up until I failed ctb last year and wound up in hospital, then everyone knew I was struggling. I'm still very good at lying though. I've had three psychotic breaks this year and have been in and out of ward care, suicidal etc. The other day my friend said I seemed much better this year and he wasn't worried about me. It was a relief to hear him say that. I still got it!

I think many members do this very well i know i do ..keep myself to myself those i see a try to put a smile on my face and act like life is ok..
But i also think that if the actual whole human population of this little blue rock was to be honest with themselves.. youd find that 100% of them would admit that put on a front as if there marrage was perfect there kids are great no debt no worries... when really its a load of BS ..

I do too, other people around me do not know anything about my mental state. I would not want to engage in their trying to make me ok.

I live two lives. Go to work for a bit, go to doctors, hang with family, and then I research and try to get closer to the end

I try to live a normal life - or normal as possible at least. Though underneath I know that, deep down, my life is not normal at all... this is a painful thought.

I appear to live a mortal life because society has told me these thoughts are wrong. It's easier to keep my personal problems and feelings in my diary and to myself. The topic of suicide only makes others uncomfortable, so I don't discuss it anymore.

no matter how bad things get, no one's ever noticed anything off with me until i tell them, lol. i think everyone's struggling to some degree, but some people are better at hiding it than others.

I completely agree. I'm in the same situation.
