Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

How would you imagine this study was conducted? Recruiting 1000 volunteers who will shoot themselves in the mouth and then answer a questionaire on their pain levels? I think I wanna talk to your ethics comittee. Also, sign me up!

You would also have to provide a precise angle that must be the same for everyone including you to have a meaningful extrapolation, as well as a standardized gun. Not going to happen. We will have to live with the uncertainity.

I cannot provide any documented guarantee, however it is estimated it takes approximately 10-15ms for an external stimuli to be processed by the brain. Since a 12 gauge blowie is extremely likely to result in a complete explosion of the head and brain I would say the likelihood of the brain registering any pain sensation is extremely low. Even if somehow it miraculously didn't result in total brain destruction, the concussive force of the blast should render one instantly unconscious without any time to register the impact of the blast.

Assuming neither the weapon or ammunition fails, I would consider the 12 gauge blowie probably the most reliable method from a speed, lethality, and pain free perspective. There is however, the matter of the awful mess and the fact I'm too much of a pussy to go that route.

Thank you so much for the in depth response. This helped a lot.
