Not necessarily.
I think that for one to be happy they need a healthy brain, a good life(or at least a one they're content with), and some mental resistance towards the suffering in the world.
It's not evil not to pay attention to the suffering in the world. It might sound selfish, but if one can do nothing about it then it's really evil of them.
In fact, I support not spending too much time thinking about the suffering in the world. It only eats you alive and you'll probably end up not being able to change anything anyways.

There are many who recognize the suffering ongoing in various parts of the world, yet actively fight against it instead of being suicidal, though I can't say anything about them being depressed. I think they just have a different response, ie. to fight even when they see no light at the end of the tunnel, instead of giving up.

Without knowing the statistics I would say, psychopaths are often intelligent but never depressed.

Or idk actually I think there are also alot of people who just live fairly privileged/ sheltered kinda lives so live in this kind of protective little bubble of a safe reality...emmm good for them I guess
