I might go back to college, but this time in Japan. Would any of you think Aokigahara would be a decent place to CTB if things went that way?

I think I would be too frightened to do it there. But because of its relative density, it is unlikely that I would be discovered/recovered.

Is it your ideal spot?
Yep. Will probably never get there though, too expensive. But I have heard you dont hear any sounds in the forest, not even birds. Would be a good way to go, im sick of hearing noises.

You could see whether you could have a layover there on your way to a less expensive location. That's how I was able to visit the first time.

Aww, same to you and thank you. A layover is when you stay somewhere else while waiting for a flight. I had to stop in Japan en route to Bali and had to board a different flight the following day. It was wonderful to travel to Japan. I felt safe, if a little out-of-place. There's so much stuff you can buy~

I strangely wouldn't mind ctbing there, it somehow feels less lonely in some morbid way? But given how well known it is, I'm still afraid of getting caught.

The pictures of the things people leave behind, pills, waterbottles, shoes, cigarettes, somehow tells a story that I relate to but don't know how to put into words.

I'm Hapa and have always wanted to visit my paternal homeland.
The forest is one of the places I want to visit if I ever make it there.
I think it would be comforting to pass where so many other souls have gone, understanding how I feel. Sort of like being here, amongst kindred spirits.

I've heard the place is patrolled pretty heavily. And unless you are or can pass for a native, you'd likely attract a pretty decent amount of attention if anyone official saw you; I also heard some dumbass foreigner youtuber went and did some really inappropriate vlog style shit of the place.

Truthfully I do think that Logan Paul made a big mistake with this, because he filmed someone who was hanging there I think, but he is not a bad person- he is a person who made a terrible error in judgemnet in this case, and I would bet he never makes another big error in judgement since he has had a big backlash for this and he has very sincerely apologized- young and stupid yes, very much so, but not a terrible person. He has learned from this very stupid mistake.

If you don't wanna be a bother please don't kill yourself in a public space. Even if you do it off trail it's still people's job to clean and collect your corpse, you'll just be a nuisance to the cleanup duty people. It's also likely someone will find you in the act and tell you to go home since people aren't allowed off trail anyways. That and wildlife is common in the forest, you could be attacked by a fox or even possibly a bear. Other than that, go for it. The Complete Manual To Suicide gives a great map on the layout of the suicide and has explicit information on how to kill yourself there as well.

hope this didn't come off as too aggressive, i wish you the best of luck in death.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. But I'd be open to becoming friends (or at least as much as we could be on this site). I'll follow your account if you follow mine.

And no. I am not proficient in speaking/writing in Japanese.

I've heard the place is patrolled pretty heavily. And unless you are or can pass for a native, you'd likely attract a pretty decent amount of attention if anyone official saw you; I also heard some dumbass foreigner youtuber went and did some really inappropriate vlog style shit of the place.
I figured that would be an issue. I could always try to enter there during the evening. As for the patrollers, I don't think they would be motivated enough to search the entire forest. I could at least try to move from another location in the vicinity and then make my way into the woodland.

What he did was aberrant. Additionally, his idiotic fan base went and flooded Google's location reviews. His actions are the type that inspires people to imitate him, and that just saddens me.

Let people be at peace.

Yep. He's truly disgusting. I can't stand him.
Wasn't he permanently prohibited from entering the country?

I won't say that he's a bad person because of it, but I also won't say he's changed as a result of his actions. Saying that he has would only be an assertion on my part because neither I nor he knows one another.

Could you possibly provide a link to the manual translated?

I never went, but looking at Google satellite and photos, it looks like a serious fucking forest. The Japanese wilds don't mess around; on regularly hiked paths there are signs for things like snakes, boar, bears, and those horrible giant murder hornets. Again, I don't know a lot about your situation but unless you have some pretty decent wilderness skills and supplies I don't think this fairly romanticised plan will work out. SI is all the more likely to kick in if you aren't comfortable and your very primal instincts are on full alert, I expect.

Just imagine you're traipsing through dimly-lit brush, the spooky sounds of the unseen woods about you, shadows moving in the distance, wondering whether someone's going to catch you in the act or too soon afterwards...I can see the appeal of leaving this world in a nice natural setting where others have gone before you, but the reality is you're going to be doing a lot of things you aren't supposed to be doing, your autonomic nervous system is going to be on hyper high alert, and to me this all adds up to greater chances of things somehow not going according to plan.

Although maybe you'd end up getting eaten by a bear, in which case that's a pretty bad-ass way to go.

So I've been fascinated with this place for quite some time but I don't think I would CTB there just for the haunting/horror purposes. Apparently there are sad souls/spirits trapped there and haunt and lure people in to CTB. I prefer a peaceful place.

This place is my ideal spot i have wanted to go here since 2019. However unfortunately i am broke right now so i wouldn't be able to go to Japan right now.

However if i was able to go i would go to Japan stay there and have fun for awhile and go to places like akihabara and then after a few days or close to a week i would go to the forest and ctb and poison myself while falling asleep in a tent or hanging in a tree.

I am not sure if I would want to be found. The idea you might hang there for months or years until you have decomposed back to the soil sounds attractive.

I remember watching the Vice documentary about this place and the nature guard was showing them around the forest and then they came across a skeleton of a guy who looked like he poisoned himself and layed down and went to sleep and never woke up.

The nature guard mentioned that it looked like he had been there for 2 years.

While there is wildlife within aokigahara because of how massive the forest is the wildlife is pretty uncommon to run into and it is highly unlikely you would be attacked by an animal. Also technically not really.

While it is true that your body could be found and people have been found not everyone is and some stay in the forest forever depending upon how deep you go in.

Johnny Paranormal on YouTube exposed the fact that the suicide petrol don't do their job well.

Only the areas of the forest where most of the suicides happen get searched but the deeper parts of the forest where tourist/foreigners don't usually go do not get searched.

Johnny went into one of those deeper areas once and found a skull in one of the underground caves.

Someone could have easily just walked past that and not even noticed it was there.
