One of the local headliners has records out and tours all over the world but two of them still work as a barmen in my brothers live venue pub (the black delta movement)
Very true , i work setting up Humber St. Sesh in my home town once a year so i know a lot of bands/musicians a very long hard couple of weeks work for twoSorry Flume. Very few, including the A listers make money as a musician. They make it from touring, and even with that, only the big names make money. Madonna, and Celine Dion had to cancel gigs due to lack of sales.
True musicians are in the business because making music is what they are. Just as a painter has to paint even if nobody sees it.
Also, many musicians, who are considered successful, have day jobs. It's just the way of the works now.
