Found out my old friend is a drug dealer, and she sells heroin so I'm researching about overdosing. I'm so excited, I'm going to try xans for fun and some edibles soon. Also my fav couple won Love Island so I'm happy

I've never done drugs but I am interested. That sounds fun :)
As for what's happened this month, it's not really an event but I climbed out of my downward spiral. Also had my bachelor party and saw a great concert. Right now life feels pretty darn tolerable.

I've gotten to see quite a few theater movies this month. In July alone I've seen Inside Out 2, Twisters, Fly Me to the Moon, and Deadpool & Wolverine. All these movies were at least decent to really great and sure it's expensive but I still enjoy watching films in theaters whether it's by myself or with people.

For me, it's the fact that I gathered enough to attempt; I couldn't fully pull through, but I feel more valid than I ever have, at least after the first few days.
Messed up how our definitions of "good" can change so much with time.

Finally got free of a trap I was in with a narcissist. Instantly way better, still seeing how things go. So glad I got free of them. I feel healthier, and like I can be myself again without being forced to be or do differently. I gave them the world - everything I could of myself, and it was nothing to them. All they cared about was their own pleasure, hidden beneath a pathetic veneer of "personal growth." Like others have said I gave them every chance in the world and they took exactly zero of them, so fuck them, I deserve way better for myself, and I refuse to be treated like I'm worthless by such people.

You absolutely deserve better. Everyone does. Good on you. Removing a negative influence can be such a weight off.
I feel pity for the narcissists who are unable to care for others, because they are - of course - miserable deep down, but I've learned that until they admit they need to change you can't let yourself be brought down with them.
My new semester began. My favourite professor is taking my classes and the content is pretty interesting. My studies are pretty much the only thing I have going for me, so that qualifies as good, I think.

I landed a pretty sweet modelling gig and it went really well. I also hit a new milestone with my progression in rock climbing, despite the fact that I'm basically a functional druggie. I have until next month to actually get sober though, because I'm going back to school soon.

I crashed a £50,000 financed car and finally managed to get £16,000 together to repair it just so I can sell it and rid myself of the stress of having to pay £1100 monthly for a chunk of metal sat there doing nothing now I'm basically broke again kind of
I always appreciate threads like this. Kind of nice to see the little things life has to offer in between all the hardship, even if they're fleeting.
I harassed him into admitting it since it was supposed to be a birthday surprise, but my fiancé got us tickets for one of my favorite bands while they're on tour doing my favorite album of all time (Strange Times) in November; not only that, but he plans to visit me then so we can go together and I would be on top of the fucking world if this happens. Life sucks right now, but this is a little slice of raw hope. I will cope for a 3-4hr Chameleons concert (with 2 forms of hearing protection, of course.)
Also, sounds fun, hope you can stay safe (legally, at least) and enjoy!
