• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

    Donate via cryptocurrency:

Taking a chance to see if I can make any friends irl while I have the time. I'm 29, live alone rn. I can drive, just nowhere to go around here anymore. I'm planning on driving west soon to see if I can find somewhere to move and "start over". While I'm still here I figured I should see if anyone wants to talk and be friends in person. All I have are my cats. You can look at my post history to see where my head is. Doesn't matter to me what state you're in. In no place to judge anyone for anything. I can try to be someone to lean on. Not very useful otherwise anyway. DM me if you'd like.

Sarte is supposed to have said "hell is other people". Our technology has allowed us to isolate ourselves from the discomfort of other people. However, we now face the discomfort of isolation.

If you consider where people congregate, bars, churches, volunteer organizations, political action groups, and for employment, the opportunities to encounter someone also interested in friendship can be slight as compared to 100 years ago.

It is still possible to make friends, but not as easy. It can be easier if one attempts to be a friend to others. If one is solicitous and asking questions of others one can show an interest that might be reciprocated.

I'm not someone who needs many people. But right now I have almost literally no one. I find volunteering information to strangers easy. At this point I couldn't care less. Never cared what others thought, but even less so now. The few friends I have that I don't talk to are from traveling ages ago. I'm more isolated now than I've ever been. I'm going to put myself in new to me places hoping to find anything to hold on for and avoid the mental associations with the surroundings I've had for too long.

I'm 30 and reside in upstate New York. Sadly, I don't live alone, but I do have my own vehicle, and prefer to be elsewhere than my current residence anyway. I also don't need a village and have a cat. You're more than welcome to message me.

Wow not any more. I grew up in Northern NY (St Lawrence County). I refuse to say "upstate" haha. Moved to the South in 2015.
