Anyone here taking Venlafaxine or Duloxetine get these side effects?

It's very strange, but since I've been back on antidepressants, I've started to experience auditory hallucinations. It's mostly hearing music I've never heard before, sometimes it's just a short melody but going round and round on repeat. Sometimes a male voice singing but I can't make out the words. Trying to ignore it but it can be a bit annoying. Never happened to me before.
Anybody else had a similar experience?

It's also a hard medication to go off of, miss a dose and you could experience extreme mood swings as per consequence. Perhaps speak with your doctor about these symptoms? Experiencing auditory hallucinations is not a good thing. I have been on venlafaxine for a month now but the first two weeks adjusting to the medication were rough, dissociation episodes were involuntarily triggered and I find that intrusive thoughts worsened as well at times. How long have you been on venlafaxine?

I've been on venlafaxine for about 3 weeks but after increase to 150mg, I've developed very itchy skin rash all over my body, I had to stop taking it. Now, I'm on duloxetine,(snri) but only taking low dose. I got a bit more energy but it doesn't affect my mood at all. My mood is very low and I'm feeling suicidal most of the time. Also, I'm taking quetiapine for insomnia. It's hard to know what's going on. I've suffered from severe depression episodes on and off since I was 16. The last 10 years, it got worse. I've been on lots of medications. Ssri- all of them, even vortioxetine - they don't work, snri,mirtazapine, lamictal, aripiprazole, quetiapine, trazodone etc.Nothing really seems to work for my depression. I'm worried that all these prescription drugs I've been taking on &off damaged my brain. I'm researching the ketamine infusions for treatment of depression. It has really positive feedback on many different forums. It's quite expensive though.

I haven't personally noticed this, though I don't have a partner to properly test it out!

I'm on 375 mg of Venlafaxine, and I mostly get nausea and I think it has disrupted my sleep though I can't prove that.

I have occasionally heard my phone ringing when it wasn't and small things like that, but nothing major.

Have you told your doctor about this? It could indicate seratonin syndome.

I remember being on both of them but it was years ago and I'm not on them now so they obviously weren't doing the trick ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The auditory stuff kinda sounds more like musical tinnitus rather than actual hallucinations.

Whether or not the AD caused it is obviously up in the air then, but idk some people find the word "tinnitus" less alarming than "hallucinations."
