Nukes are for scaremongering. No leader has the audacity to actually use them first. Why? MAD?

I posted this exact same sentiment in another thread about normies, NPC and people in power. There isn't going to be any nuclear war. It's all posturing. For that to happen there would have to be a "madman" in control of a country and there isn't. There's a difference between madmen and cruel, mean, and even evil leaders. No leader is going to be willing to risk their wealth and power and their "cushy" life because any use of nuclear weapons against another country is going to result in the reciprocal immediate destruction of their own country, and probably themselves, AND THEY ALL KNOW THAT. All countries with nuclear weapons have multiple layers of safeguards built into the protocols for use of nuclear weapons, so if some nutjob leader ordered nuclear strikes, there are still plenty of level-headed individuals standing in the way. Where we are now at this time in our history, no one is going to risk being the first to launch nuclear weapons. And if no one is going to be first, there can't be someone to go second.
That's where the layers come into play.................hopefully. Gotta remember, most people aren't like us, people that want to die. I can even envision the scenario of someone stepping in and killing another who is just about to launch a nuclear weapon.Similar to; well if I'm going down and if I can't hold onto this I'm going to take everyone with me.
My bad, forgot to mention he survived the 2nd nuke as well. So like all of our worst nightmare; like that Twilight Zone episode where the man who just wants to read, lives through a nuclear apocalypse where everyone dies and then his glass break as he starts reading a book. Absurdism philosophy at its best.Every time there's about to be a nuclear war, the stupid pro-lifers fuck it all up.
Damm, talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time! Although I suppose another way to look at it, especially on this forum, is that his timing was perfect.

I dont think Iran dare to send a nuke, but who knows.I think Iran just attacked Israel and they will fight back today so this might be the first steps to start WWIII
Yes…. It's funny how people assume this will be a quick exit from there misery when in fact it will trigger survival instinct beyond belief, and not to mention!! What happens to humans when they are undergoing starvation…… very … very …. Primal….No, I don't like the idea of people suffering and unfairly having their lives taken away. Along with that, unless you're in the blast zone or whatever it's called (I forgot) your death will likely be slow and agonizing.
This is how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.
