• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

A lot of people can't buy SN because in most countries business registration is required when buying SN.
As far as I know getting a business registration isn't really that difficult and can be done by basically anyone.
Has anyone actually tried this?

Yeah. Kinda easy to do, at least in US.

I got it by using my university email for the order and claiming to need it for a project. The seller somehow believed it, or frankly didn't care.

The problem is that some of these sellers demand photographs or prototypes for what you plan to use it for. You will have an easier time I suppose, but don't be surprised if they search up your business, see it's a random house with no trace to any need of SN, especially a personal quantity, and immediately cancel the order.

Photographs are just one of the lines of proof they sometimes ask for.

I tried the university thing as well but they asked for the approval of a professor so I gave up.. was your seller in the US?

My seller was in Central Europe somewhere, I believe. I didn't particularly care so long as it arrived. I didn't get a welfare check either which is usually given when ordered online internationally. It seems I just got very lucky with a lacklustre parcel force shift and careless seller.

Perhaps try some other sites? I got my SN a little while ago now so perhaps they've cracked down even more than they had beforehand (likely).
