Discussion Anyone else trying to be of any help for people who need it before you leave?

Just wanted to know if there are people here who want to try and help others as much as possible to make it better for them before they leave and I myself have seen a lot of people here who are constantly trying to help and it's just so nice and heartwarming to find people like them:).But it's really selfless and thoughtful of you to do so.For me it's the guilt that I've never been good enough and I've always been the type of person to try and help people out.If I can be of any help to people here I would love to do so besides I'm just lonely all the time and I would love to talk to new people and try to be of any help if possible:).For people who try and help others that's really the most wonderful and the most selfless and thoughtful thing ever and you have your own battles to fight but still you're trying to help others and that's a really great thing:).If anything I hope this acts as a reassurance to people who try and help:).It takes nothing to be nice to people and you understand it and you people try to make it better for the rest of us all I've met is nice people here and I've heard that broken people are tragically beautiful and it's true.We need you around as long and as much as possible :).Try and spread some love and trust me some people really need it :).

That's a great post. Many people have been trying to help others simply as a personal trait all along even before they decided to ctb. There are lots of great people here. I've gotten more support from more nice people on this site than any place else.

Helping others here and receiving help make some of the only meaningful moments of my days. I'm interested in trying a new unproven method to test and research for others to take note of. In some way it kind of gives my life (or rather death) meaning, as well as possibly helping others in their journey. Glad you said this, it's definitely reassuring

I'm actually sort of a loner and nowadays lazier too but I've never been a bully so because I don't feel interest in anything, the only thing left is socialising, and I find it easier to help anonymously than make long term connections so it's just what happens I guess

I try to help people as much as I can. I've always been that way, but I've noticed it's increased almost 10 fold for individuals that feel like me here. Probably because I know the feelings of people ignoring cries for help, or how lonely the bad days are. I've also noticed I've become more of a doormat. So it can come with disadvantages, but I rather be helpful than not... even if that means I'm left to pick up my own pieces on bad days. I know what it's like to have no one... if I can offer support, I will. I do wish I could hug members that really need it though. That's probably the biggest downside to the site besides the obvious of losing beloved members.

This community has some wonderful people and it's truly a support group like no other. I'm just happy and honored to be apart of it and so I try to give back. ♡
