Discussion Anyone else not having a funeral

Like the title says, I don't think I want a funeral.
I'm planning to CTB at Christmas in my bedroom peacefully if possible
I've been thinking about what I want after i'm gone not that I care but I think one wish is that I don't have a funeral. Me and my family don't have loads of money and with the cost of living going up and up I don't want it to be a burden. Plus I genuinely don't think a funeral for me would be worth it, I don't know many people and wouldn't want those who I barely know there anyway. I guess maybe cremation would be the best way idk find it sickening that there is cost even after death, existence is truly agony and a pain. If it was up to me I would ask to be thrown in the sea and forgotten about.

I don't just want no funeral, I want all traces of my existence to be completely erased. Unfortunately, because I was active on social media(s) at one point in my life, proof of my existence will live on. I am revulsed by the idea of my internet profiles being fossilized post-mortem. The idea of one of my pictures being stumbled upon by way of some random clicking around on the internet, just ruins my day, everyday. I have "appearance dysphoria," and as a result, knowing my gross ass face and body will live on, forgettably, for the rest of eternity, in the deepest caverns of the internet's memory holes, leaves me feeling like my suffering will continue on even after death, because without complete erasure of self, I will be stuck with these feelings of "ick" and "self-digust" in the afterlife just to be spited for not being grateful enough for my revulsing body


The worst possible scenario would be an open casket. The thought of that terrifies me and makes me want to plan a suicide that will ensure my body and bones will never be found.

I told my parents that I don't want any of these hypocrites at my funeral - this refers to family and friends. I don't even want a funeral, I made that very clear. First of all I find the idea of people grieving over my death absolutely repulsive - seriously. I find our culture and attitude around death really gross. Why do we always assume death to be such a tragic thing? It's not, for some of us, it's relieving, it's an escape from the existential nightmare that we're facing every single day. It's relief from pain. It's a good thing that death exists and I don't consider my own death tragic at all. I want people to sympathise with me and celebrate that I'm not suffering anymore... that's what it should be all about. I never asked to be born in the first place, so me going back to wherever I came from, and even if it's just pure non-existence, that's still better than suffering on earth every single day. I always avoided funerals when possible because they always have such a grim, depressing atmosphere and as I said, I don't like that.

And none of these people were there for me in the first place, my entire life nobody gave a fuck about me, so why would I even grant them the right to mourn about my self-determined death in such a manner? They don't deserve it and they can all screw off, seriously. This may sound harsh but I don't want a funeral. I want a natural burial in a forrest and that's it. I'm gonna be a part of this natural cycle, I'll become one with nature and that's my only wish. I want to disappear forever and hopefully be forgotten in time.

I live with my elderly parents. My Physical demise has been a nightmare for them too watching me suffering. They know I'm going to try CTB again soon. They just don't know when & how. Theve said if i do it theyre getting me buried as spot available next to gran close to where they will be. I don't care whatever makes it easier for them to cope. I'll be dead anyway. We all agreed no service, no friends or family, just a simple affair my elderly parents being able to grieve their only daughter but at least knowing I'm out of severe physical sufferring.

I honestly don't know what my family will decide to do once they are informed I have been found dead. None of us has a ton of money and I rarely speak to any of them more than once in a blue moon. I would PREFER they just let my body go to medical science as I requested, not hold a service and just forget about me. I honestly want to fade from everyone's memories In a year at the most. I am, was and will continue to be a useless and worthless piece of dead meat and everyone whom I ever had contact with will be better when I am not around.

Hopefully not. I don't know what my mother will decide, but I'd hate every bit of being put on display at a funeral. Nobody there would attend would so because they wanted to it'd be a huge inconvenience, the fake platitudes and of course the insane amount of money because not even death frees you from capitalism. I do not want to have a funeral. In an ideal world I would like to be completely forgotten and to just disappear. Of course it does not matter really what happens to my body after death as by that point I will be gone, I will finally be at peace.

Yes. I'm sorting out a will atm and have specified my first choice is donating my body to a medical school. But they can't take a body if there is an inquest which is likely in the case of suicide. So I specified direct cremation as second choice. Nobody can attend as they fit you in as and when the crematorium has some downtime. Still costs about £1000 though!

That's good. You never know, the boffins might find a cure for diseases, compliments of the human corpse !. Otherwise, who gives a shit about when someone gets 'flamed'. !?. Ive gone for the cheap disposal in a body bag. I mean, why waste a tree !.
