I've been looking for work for awhile now and have had no luck landing a job. I've tweaked my resume, created a cover letter and even signed up for linkedin, but no dice. I don't know what employers want and it's frustrating not having money.
What about you guys? Are you guys having issues with job hunting too?

Yeah I quit because of a bad boss and bad anxiety/depression. I've also been without a job for over a year.

Where I'm from there are probably over 50 temp agency's in the phone book. If you have a car and are willing to work any shift they'll find you a shitty job with shitty people in less than 5 minutes.

I gave up a few years ago, depression and withdrawal among other things have destroyed me.
Have you looked into things like cleaning, it's kinda the bottom of the pile but it's something. Good luck though, hopefully you find something soon.

I've got no problems with getting hired, I got problems with doing anything consistently. I've tried and tried but anxiety destroyed me. I don't bother anymore, I accepted that I have become useless.

True. You can always find shitty jobs with shitty people because people are constantly quitting those jobs for a good reason.

I haven't been able to find work in nearly a year, at 46 this is most depressing, even went back to TAFE last year and completed two Diploma's to increase chances of employment. Can't even get a job delivering pizza...always worked in high pressure jobs on decent salary and now to be on government benefits is so belittling because I'm relying on family

No. I just got hired somewhere today.

Without sounding narcissistic. I am a blue eyed, white man, and I am 6'3 in fairly good shape, and I'm charismatic. I have no anxiety from speaking to crowds of people. I can typically put in a couple applications, and make some phone calls, and exceed in an interview.

I myself am finding it diffcult to get a job but that's becuase there aren't much opions where I'm from. It's either office work, sales clerk, cashier, food, driving and manual labor. There is literally nothing for Social Anxiety, Non Driving and Non Strong people. I've worked in 7 jobs before, quit 6 of them, the 7th was my dream job until a relegious nut took over the company and replaced me with someone he loved.

My mom is pestering me to move to Canada, like if I'm gonna move miles away just so that I can fail and come back home. Atleast when I fail here I have a home to come to, but if I fail there I'd be on the streets. Granted I'll be on the streets or a mental institution when my mom dies but I'd like to hold off from that as long as possible.

I was in threads on Monster.com & CareerBuilder.com for years. Everyone over 35 was having the same problem. We all had degrees, lots of experience, excellent professional references... But no one was interested. Google age discrimination. You'll find that according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, research done by both the federal government and leading US universities finds age discrimination begins far earlier than was thought--mid 30's. And in the tech sector (where a main exploding decent-pay job market is), it starts even earlier--late 20's/early 30's. But we all need money to survive in a culture where everything's already owned--land, housing, crops, even vegetative seeds. And governments claim THEY own nature's providence (OR/WA "own" rainwater; Montana "owns" the wind" ...) so we can't just "live off the land." And even our own government practices age discrimination (fellowships, grants, local/state/federal jobs). So...

Human life has become just another commodity. They're not really anti-suicide. They're anti-self-autonomy. I've given up trying to find a job. I spent a small fortune getting professional head shots, my LinkedIn profile updated, on hundreds of professionally crafted resumes & cover letters, attending dozens of professional networking meetings, getting coached on how to sell myself. Nothing. Even social services positions want young, attractive people. Studies show because we all have multiple degrees now, degrees no longer predict job success. But knowing the right people and being "likable" are consistently positively associated with job success. If you're older or, um, aesthetically challenged, or have discernible unappealing cognitive quirks, well, again, you're no one's responsibility.

I've literally been actively searching and applying for jobs for the past three years non stop and found nothing. I even resorted to selling baked goods for a while but that didn't work so well because I don't have enough space to bake and cook. I must have sent more than 100 applications and got only two calls. Then nothing. I honestly lost hope already

I sperg out at interviews and never get hired because of it. I think that if I was hired, it'd give me an incentive to stop waiting around and just kill myself. Not being hired just gives me an excuse to keep sitting on my ass waiting to die instead of seeking it. I hate being unemployed, but I'd hate having a job even more. Maybe I'll put out more applications to speed up the process.
