Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.
This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

this is so real and extremely selfish, my mother always uses this against me and tells me that if I ever go I will ruin her life and all that. When I was in the psych ward, the therapist basically said to me, "if I had to pick the stupidest person (the person with the stupidest ideas) in this room, it would be you" and that sentence is still stuck in my head. I notice that when suicidal ideation is shared, people either look at you like a failure or a charity case. The humanity of the person behind the suicidal thoughts and their struggles is often omitted. There is always a reason why someone would want to CTB, but people seem to forget the immense amount of pain a person needs to be in to reach that point in their lives.
