Anyone else dealing with PTSD/CPTSD?

I've been diagnosed with CPTSD for almost 2 years ago now and its honestly destroyed me as a person. All I wanted was a normal life and that was stripped away from me because of my assailant having his way with me and being too weak to stop it. Then dealing with so many awful things from my time in service where I had 2 failed attempts. I just don't know what to do anymore I just want it all to end so my mind can be at peace for once. Has anyone else been struggling with the same illness.

I have it too. I have therapy, sort of helps but nightmares still keep coming back.

I was initially diagnosed with PTSD as a teenagers and rediagnosed with CPTSD about three years ago. Here on the forum due to frequent flashbacks, nightmares, dissociation and suicidal ideation - and the NHS seem to struggle to meaningfully support me, hence this forum has replaced the medical system.

The mental health system is awful, I've been in numerous psych wards and it just made my mental health worse. I've had therapist say awful things to me and the medications they dump on me just didn't help at all. I wish countries tried to actually treat those going through mental illness as actual people.

Just want to confirm that I think the lunatics run the asylum, generally. Some decent people in mental health but it's very rare, and the system at the top is dystopian, because the outcome of psychiatric remedies, especially drugs, is ultimately thought control, money, and power-- "healing" is a kind of facade. Oh... but that sounds like paranoia. Don't worry, there's a pill to make that go away.
