I just never feel physically comfortable, it doesn't rlly matter how comfortable the chair I sit in is, I still don't feel comfortable. Idk, it's weird, it is, as if my body just feels too much, like it's supposed to feel less in a way. It's quite difficult to explain, but I just feel my body parts to intensely I guess. And I'd understand if I was uncomfortable bcs of lack of physical activity, but that's not the case. I've been working out for years, but nothing has changed, though I thought it would make me more comfortable. It could also be psychological of course, but I just don't know for sure
Anyone else feel similar?

most relatable post ive seen in ages. downers help so much but you cant be high all the time so i spend the rest of the day feeling like all my nerves are exposed and the air keeps playing patty cake with them. i dont know why this happens. ive felt defective my whole life and like the universe made a mistake making me human/putting me here. i dont know maybe for some of us it really was a mistake. something about existing both physically and mentally feels wrong and i cant shake it. these bodies are too uncomfortable to live in.

I'm sorry you also feel this way. Idk, it kinda feels like you are forced to walk on eggshells all the time if that makes sense. Well I guess that's an understatement, but it's sth like that.
Yeah, if I could be high all the time without consequences, I'd def do it. The only thing which helps me are benzos, but I can't take them every day, so I schedule it. I want to at least feel comfortable once a week

Similar. I am autistic folk and I can mostly find shit that "irritates less". Like…. All textures are uncomfortable, just some are much more uncomfortable than another that can make want to fucking die (no kidding. Good old hurting yourself when a kid cause people are tryina force you to wear some awful texture), while other still suck, but in comparison to others survivable (autism is a spectrum tho, so idk if it works same for others or that's another diagnose of mine doing this fucking hell). Being too hyperaware about your limps sucks too. Also physically disabled, it's painful to walk… and stand…. Hyper mobility also sucks because gravity pulls you down, so it's a constant fight between my muscles and gravity.

I can suggest you to check hypermobile criteria (Just google them, they'll give you quick test on if your joins can do shit average person can't. if you pass you might also want to check for Heds, tho there is also different types of EDS, what you describe rather sounds to me lowkey like hypermobile part or for HSD, cause usually I believe hypermobility on its own can even be beneficial? (Like lots of athletes have it) and if it causes discomfort most of the time it's falls under one of the two above). Like it could be that you feel gravitation pulling on you, but your body don't have enough collagen for your joins to fight with that bitch of science. Could also be that your body feels everything to strongly cause you are neurodivergent.
P.s. cool shark facts- the amount of pain you are supposed to feel on average - 0. Can suggest check yourself if it's higher then that (I hope the way I explained is understandable And useful)

That's actually very intriguing, I've never heard of any of that tbh, but it makes sense. I looked it up and I guess, I do check a lot of the boxes. And I agree, some surfaces are truly awful, I don't get how other people can lay/ sit on them comfortably. To me almost any surface feels kind of scratchy and makes me itch, maybe my skin is just too sensitive. Which kind of professional would I need to see to talk about these things? I have my first appointment with a psychiatrist in December, but I don't know if this falls into a psychiatrists expertise.
Thank you for explaining all those things btw
