I'm going to try microdosing since I've seen news and scientific articles about how psilocybin microdosing works against depression and anxiety.

I would really appreciate any experience with it.

  • Did it work? Did not?
  • Are you researching about?
  • Have you ever received any opinion on this from psychiatrists?

I'm going to leave here some articles in english after.

no experience with microdosing but with psychedelics in general

i think most psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists discard it mostly for being too dangerous for developing psychosis. but also for kinda like voodoo, pseudo-science like reasoning.

psychedelics imo can help with appreciating the little things in life more, but if your kinda the only one that is flashed by seeing like flowers and the sky and basic stuff like that, its really depressing again. gotta find the right people to appreciate the preciousness of the little things i guess

good luck with that, if your not prone to psychosis i would definitely try it.

I have read both, articles praising shrooms and articles ripping the theory apart.

In the end, IMO, people who suffer from depression are desperate and will try anything if it promises even a small chance of improvement.

That creates a huge market and yes, it's a money maker.
Can it work? Sure!
Just like Ketamine or rTMS therapy (major $$) helps about 50% of patients.

Just remember: every time you try something, it can also make you worse. And you definitely don't want to add more on to the pile you're already dealing with.

(Oh and yes I've tried shrooms once, recreationally. It was weird and could have been the massive joint I smoked. Fun, but not a sensation I would want on an every day basis.)

It's a viable option for potentially terminal mental illness. 50/50 chance of recovery is pretty good for any advanced condition.

I've seen respectable people researching PTSD support it. I did 3 personal "sessions". It was healing for me. I'll be doing it again soon.

For a full dose, I would imagine you have to be in a present feeling of sincerely seeking out healing. If you go into it while in the depths of reeling despair all day you might sink further. It exposes your inner world which can be intimidating. Maybe microdosing would be a better approach.

It was not microdosing. Albeit small ish doses.
It didn't help my depression in any significant way. 2 eights of dried shrooms divided into 4 doses across 2-3 months was my way of trying them. You could say it was semi recreational but all I cared about was improving my depression.

I looked into it anecdotally mainly, then found out it's being studied. I am not currently researching it or whatever.

No.

The risk aspect is so funny to me because the typical antidepressants are chock full of hazardous side effects often life ruining. But yeah of course psychs aren't gonna endorse something with such limited research.

I believe I have tomorrow to myself. I have much recreational experience when I was a kid. I'm 46. Severe GAD, BPD and PTSD. Suicidal ideation for 30 years. Life is in shamble and desperate. All things considered, I believe I'm still in a safe place mentally and physically to take a ride. Never had a bad trip.
