I would like to try the mushrooms but have no idea how to source them. Any thoughts? tia
You have to know someone that you trust completely. Emphasis on TRUST. Do not buy off the streets. The only state in the U.S. that allow mushrooms is Oregon, though it's only available with the supervision of a therapist. I think Cali and Colorado are trying to pass similar laws.
I think you can buy them legally in BC Canada, but not sure.
Also, if you ever do a macrodose, try to have a "trip sitter" with you in case you start freaking out. Reddit (r/microdosing) has some great info.

Where do you live? In Canada we have multiple trust-worthy online dispensaries on the clearnet.

Personally, I love weed. However when I stopped smoking it for about 5 months now, I started regaining my energy to do things and remembering why I was sad. I think weed helps because of the short term memory loss it gives you. I never use to fight or argue with my ex about anything nor did I realize how hypocritical he was because I could never remember/ care enough to fight. So it helps to some extent but I don't think it's as much of a miracle as people say it is and I used to be one of those people who swore it would solve everything.
thank you for sharing your experience.

why is short term memory loss good?

even though i didnt believe the marketing pitch that its a miracle cure but i thought atleast temporary peace for a few months with some dose regimen would have been useful.
I live in a state where it's marijuana is legal, so I've tried just about everything. The only strain I will use is indica. Sativa gives me intense anxiety. I have liquid THC pills that will help with physical pain, but I can't say it's decreased my depression, it just helps me get to sleep. But what sucks is that studies show that cannabis interferes with the REM cycle of sleep, so you may fall asleep easier, but the quality of sleep is not good. I wake up feeling tired.

I've been microdosing psilocybin for about 3 months now. I thought is was helping, but I've had a hard time finding the "sweet spot." Anyway, what started happening was I was getting tremors;started in my hands and is now in my jaw. I am part of the microdosing community on Reddit and asked about this and another user said the same thing. So now I'm a bit hesitant to keep going down that road.
I have done macrodoses though, that have helped me work out some of my issues with intense grief. I find myself feeling pretty good for about a week afterwards. Almost like a brain reset. Psychedelics are showing a lot of promise for mental health issues. Just wish there was a bit more guidance besides greeting advice from random people on Reddit. Although I have to say it's a wonderful community.
Thank you for sharing your experience.

I have spent hundreds of hours reading books/watching videos on psychedelics. I was hoping against hope that they legalize it soon. its absolutely frustrating that government even decides whether one can take a mushroom or not. ayahuasca tea which is in use for centuries cant be used by us?

i assume they wont deliver in US?

City of Oakland has decriminalized it.

Of course<3 but I definitely don't think short term memory loss is anywhere good in the long run): I just think that's the not talked about as much reason that people feel better and are able to "get over" their problems when smoking. It's not that problems or feelings go away as much as it's just forgotten about and if you decide to sober up one day like me, it'll all come back to you and you'll realize it never went away and you have quite a bit of unsolved/unhandled issues. I think it can be helpful for some things though, it helped me get over my social anxiety and eating disorder but I also became super dependent on it for awhile in order to do anything. As long as you keep in mind it's a drug, sure it's nowhere as bad as other drugs but it still causes a psychological change, you should be fine<3
