Discussion anybody else get "embarrassing" or "childish" hallucinations?

i had sum pretty severe paranoia around creepypastas as a kid, i used 2 hallucinate slenderman in the woods @ summer camps cant even lie, im still legitimately afraid of it sometimes. no shame in ur brain doing its thing but whats one u just dont tell ppl about?
it got especially bad after those girls & the slenderman stabbing.

the lavender town one and candle cove one scared me so much back then but now looking at them as an adult it's funny to see what you thought was terrifying really wasn't same with flashgames like The House Series, The Deeper Sleep Series, and Free Ice Cream (Free Ice Cream is actually terrifying though even today) also The ExMortis Series

so now I can finally understand why children fall for clickbait now especially since it seemed like no one really investigated creepypastas back then or confirmed that they were just stories

4 sure 4 sure, especially if u already prone 2 fantasy/escapism or are especially suggestible as a kid, it was so easy 2 fall 4 chain mail & "scary monster not clickbait" vids loll
fucked that it sticks with me @ my lowest, it feels weird as a grown ass adult seeing slenderman in public
